Acebeam K1 UV light, laser AND flashlight in one
Acebeam K1 Website
The AceBeam K1 might be one of the most versatile pocket flashlights I’ve tested. It’s small, tough, and built for real-world use — the kind of light you’ll want to keep clipped to your pocket whether you’re in the garage, on a job site, or out camping.
What makes the K1 special is its three-in-one design: a bright white LED, a green laser, and a UV light. It’s not just a flashlight — it’s a practical tool for mechanics, inspectors, and anyone who appreciates well-built gear.
Brightness & Performance
At its core, the K1 uses a CREE XP-LR 6500K white LED, pushing out up to 1,000 lumens with a beam distance of 223 meters. For something that fits in your hand, that’s seriously impressive.
The light offers multiple brightness levels. A ECO or low mode, medium, and really nice high mode which is a combination thrower AND a nice wide light. PLUS it has a strobe mode for signalling or emergency use. The rotary magnetic dial makes switching between modes smooth and intuitive, and the tail switch gives quick access to power and mode changes.
Multi-Function Design
Here’s where the K1 really stands out:
-
White light for general illumination
-
Green laser for precise pointing — perfect for mechanics or inspectors explaining an issue to customers
-
365nm UV light for spotting AC leaks, gas residue, or hidden details like currency markings or pet stains
This mix of modes turns the K1 into a true multi-purpose tool rather than just another flashlight.
Build Quality & Battery
AceBeam built the K1 from aircraft-grade AL6061-T6 aluminum, finished with a HA III hard anodized coating. It’s IP68 waterproof, dustproof, and drop-resistant up to 1.5 meters — so it can handle tough environments.
Power comes from a USB-C rechargeable 14500 battery rated at 1000mAh, and the light can also run on a standard AA battery if needed. That flexibility is a big advantage when you’re away from a charger.
Everyday Carry Convenience
At just 110mm (4.33″) long and 77 grams, the K1 fits easily in a pocket or tool belt. The stainless steel clip keeps it secure and prevents rolling, which is handy since the body itself is round and smooth.
It’s compact, easy to carry, and quick to deploy — exactly what you want from an EDC flashlight.
Here’s where it could be better
AceBeam made a solid little light with a lot of features. BUT, it’s a roller. If you put it down somewhere, it will roll off and leave you stranded. The belt clip is there for a reason, USE it.
Final Thoughts
I really like the AceBeam K1. It’s bright, reliable, and extremely versatile. The white beam offers great throw distance, the UV mode is perfect for diagnostics, and the laser makes it easy to communicate with clients or co-workers.
This isn’t just a flashlight — it’s a tool. One that would make a great addition to any mechanic’s kit or an excellent gift for anyone who appreciates well-made gear.
